How to paint dormer windows

Dip a three-inch nylon brush into the acrylic latex paint in this step. Then, cover the entire area using the paintbrush. After one or two hours of applying the initial layer of paint, you should apply another layer for a better result.

You must ensure that the paint is spread evenly throughout the area. Use a foam roller to roll all over the paint if it gets too bright or too dark. As a result, all of the paint is uniformly dispersed. You have completed your task. Simply peel off the masking tape to reveal the painted dormers.

Dormers are useful for removing the dark atmosphere and allowing more light into the home. Those angles always reflect light differently anyway, so I may have to try a lighter version of the wall color just to see how I like that. One of the most interesting structures that I've ever been in was a former firehouse that had a platform built for a second floor, and needed several dormers and skylights as a result. The owner painted everything white.

But about 10 different shades of white. Every different plane had it's own shade. It took that light reflecting differently on every surface and ran with it big time! It really emphasized the architectural features, while remaining a relatively calm backdrop to his giant art collection. Thank you for everyone's help. I was leaning towards painting the angled surface and the vertical surface the same as the wall, so it's good hear that most people would agree with that.

Find Out! The roof in front of the window slopes away at about 40 degrees to the horizontal; it's about 5ft from the base of the window to the gutter. I can't think of a good way to safely access the window. My only idea is long ladder at 40 degrees resting on the roof and meeting the ground a long way from the wall, which sounds a bit iffy.

Any ideas? Thanks Steve.
